COVID-19
The RDPO contributed to COVID-19 response in a variety of ways.
Multi-Agency Coordination
Our Regional Multi-Agency Coordination System (RMACS) contributed to COVID-19 response by facilitating communication between partner organizations. View the high-level org chart and more detailed description.
“DO YOUR PART” Campaign
Many of our most vulnerable community members are not connected to traditional government messaging. During the early days of the pandemic, RDPO staff, the City of Portland Bureau of Emergency Management, and the Multnomah County Health Department developed a public awareness campaign that was designed to be accessible to as many people as possible, including multicultural and multilingual communities.
Grocery Store Signage
Grocery story employees have faced physical and emotional well-being struggles during the COVID-19 crisis. RDPO staff and the Portland Bureau of Emergency Management collaborated with Behavioural Insights Team to create a poster for use in grocery stores. The goal of the poster campaign is to create common expectations for customers and to foster a culture of respect for grocery workers who are on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis.
