Public Works Work Group

The Public Works Work Group (PWWG) brings together professionals from agencies throughout the region working in transportation, drinking water, wastewater, solid waste, buildings and grounds, parks, electricity, public fleet, and related community infrastructure sub-disciplines. These partners collaborate on planning, developing agreements, training, exercising plans, and purchasing specialized equipment to build public works-related regional capabilities across the protection, mitigation, response, and recovery mission areas of all-hazards emergency/disaster preparedness.

MEETINGS

The Public Works Work Group meets every other month on the fourth Wednesday.

SUBCOMMITTEES

The Public Works Work Group has a Solid Waste Disaster Preparedness Subcommittee that is currently focused in two areas: disaster debris, and continuity / resilience of the solid waste system.
